NCCHC Virtual Winter Conference Brings Critical Education Online

The NCCHC Virtual Winter Conference on Correctional Health Care will offer education on medical care, nursing, mental health, oral health, legal issues, substance abuse disorder treatment, suicide prevention, and other critical topics online December 7-8.

The Virtual Winter Conference features highlights from the in-person National Conference on Correctional Health Care, which took place in October in Las Vegas, as well as online exclusive sessions.

“Although attendance at the National Conference in Las Vegas was strong, we know there are a lot of people who need education and information who are not able to travel. This virtual conference will help them catch up and keep up on critical topics,” says NCCHC CEO Deborah Ross, CCHP. Ross notes that “we know that staffing levels are very tight around the country and it’s really hard to get away.”

Participants can log in live on December 7-8 or access sessions on demand through January 15. Live roundtable sessions on suicide prevention and MAT will offer live Q&A with expert panels. The conference offers up to 32.75 hours of continuing education credit.
