Sue Medley-Lane, RN, CCHP-A, Reelected to the CCHP Board of Trustees

Centurion Health Director of Infection Control and Prevention Sue Lane, RN, CCHP-A, will serve a second term on the CCHP Board of Trustees. Ms. Lane was first elected in 2019. She has been a registered nurse for 47 years, and earned her CCHP in 2005 and her CCHP-A in 2019.

Her three-year term begins on October 23, 2022, and ends in 2025. As a member of the board of trustees, she is part of a critical committee responsible for all aspects of governing the CCHP program, including examination content, scoring and evaluation, as well as awarding of CCHP and specialty certifications to successful candidates.

In her candidate statement, Ms. Lane spoke of the need to teach and mentor those new to correctional health care so patients can receive appropriate care. She also highlighted that “it is important that we continue to be a voice for our special population, helping our health care system recognize and understand the challenges of providing care” in correctional settings. She noted “We are part of public health and work tirelessly to provide up-to-date information.”

After receiving news of her election, Ms. Lane stated, ”I want to thank all CCHPs for their support in my reelection. I am both honored and excited for this opportunity to continue serving on the Board of Trustees, developing the future of this important program, and advocating for our recognized specialty of correctional health care.”
