Monkeypox and Corrections: News from CDC

CDC is tracking multiple cases of monkeypox that have been reported in several countries, including the United States, and urging healthcare providers to be alert for patients who have rash illnesses consistent with monkeypox. To date, there have been no monkeypox cases identified among people in congregate settings. However, it is important for correctional and detention facilities to maintain situational awareness to help prevent the spread of the virus if it is introduced.
