NCCHC’s accreditation program is growing, and the staff is growing to keep up with demand.
Robert Simon, MEd, CCHP, is NCCHC’s new opioid treatment program manager, a new position that was created to oversee the surge in OTP accreditations. Simon has been in the mental health field for more than 25 years as a clinician and administrator, managed medical operations for four federal correctional facilities and 12 Colorado DOC facilities, and was involved with OTP for the Bureau of Prisons. He is an NCCHC lead surveyor.
Donna Kaufman has joined the accreditation department as scheduler and presurvey coordinator. She brings to the role a strong customer service and operations background, most recently as office manager at DMS Packaging Services.
“As NCCHC accreditation expands our reach, we are committed to providing the highest level of expertise and service to the facilities we work with,” said Amy Panagopoulos, vice president, accreditation. “The experience Robert and Donna bring to the team will be invaluable as we continue to grow.”
