NCCHC Board Welcomes Samuel Soltis
The NCCHC board of directors welcomes Samuel Soltis, PhD, FACHE, as its new liaison of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Soltis has served as assistant deputy director of health services for the South Carolina Department of Corrections since 2013. Previously, he was director of health services for the state’s Department of Juvenile Justice from 2002 to 2013. Dr. Soltis has a doctorate in public health, as well as extensive work experience and master’s-level education in health administration and finance.
“It is a challenge to provide quality services to such an underserved population with the constraints on resources we face in the correctional environment,” says Dr. Soltis. “Being able to develop innovative approaches to meet these challenges is extremely rewarding. Serving on the NCCHC board is a great opportunity to share ideas and have a positive impact on the provision of quality health care across the correctional field."
