2019 is proving to be a banner year for the CCHP-Advanced program, with two more people – both of them NCCHC VIPs – earning the prized credential.

Jeffrey Alvarez, MD, CCHP-P, CCHP-A, serves on the board of directors as liaison of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He was the chair of the task force that developed the 2018 Standards for Health Services for jails and prisons. He is the chief medical officer for NaphCare.

Tracey Titus, RN, CCHP-RN, CCHP-A, is vice president, accreditation, at NCCHC, where she has worked since 2013. Previously, she was a staff nurse and a health services administrator for a county jail for 19 years. She has been a surveyor for NCCHC since 2008, advancing to become a lead surveyor, and served on the board of directors for the Academy of Correctional Health Professionals.
