Tracey TitusCongrats to Tracey Titus, RN, CCHP-RN, CCHP-A, who was chosen from an impressive field of candidates for the open seat on the CCHP board of trustees. Titus is the senior director of policy and accreditation for Centurion, LLC.

Her three-year term will begin on November 1. As a member of the board of trustees, she will be part of a critical committee responsible for all aspects of governing the CCHP program, including examination content, scoring and evaluation, as well as awarding of CCHP and specialty certifications to successful candidates.

Titus' candidate statement was as follows:

"Beginning my correctional health care career in 1994, I immediately wanted to learn about this new specialty, so I turned to NCCHC and the CCHP program. I was so proud to become a CCHP in 1997 and eventually attain the CCHP-RN and CCHP-A certification. As a member of the CCHP-RN subcommittee, I am actively involved in developing a correctional nursing course to be unveiled in November 2020. I have taught numerous CCHP preparation courses, proctored numerous exams, and scored CCHP-A exams.

If elected, not only would I continue to encourage my colleagues to attain certification but explore ways to encourage employers to value and reward CCHPs for their dedication to this specialty. My knowledge of NCCHC Standards, combined with 26 years of correctional health care experience will be helpful in the continued development of the CCHP Program. I would be honored to be part of this incredible program’s continued growth."
