Applying for Accreditation
The first step is to obtain a copy of the NCCHC Standards for Opioid Treatment Programs in Correctional Facilities and review your facility's compliance with them. Next, you'll complete and submit the accreditation application. When we receive your application, you will be asked to complete a self-survey questionnaire. Information provided on the SSQ is reviewed by NCCHC staff and is used to help the facility prepare for the on-site survey. NCCHC staff are always available to assist you in the preparation.
Once accredited, each year you'll submit a written report (Annual Affirmation of Compliance) with updates on relevant information. Additional on-site visits will occur about every three years.
