The
preconference
seminars
on Saturday and Sunday are yet another forum for gaining
knowledge. The conference proper begins on
Sunday evening during the Exhibit Hall

Advancing Your
Education
Nearly 40% of our conference attendees have worked in this field
for 10 years or more! To meet their educational needs, we’ve
developed a significant number of advanced sessions. Check back
for a complete list and description of sessions.
Continuing
Education
CCHPs:
Certified Correctional Health Professionals may earn up to 32
contact hours of Category I continuing education for
recertification.
Nurses:
The National Commission on Correctional Health Care is an
approved provider of continuing nursing education by the
Illinois Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the
American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on
Accreditation. NCCHC designates this educational activity for 32
contact hours (INA-CE Approval Number 0907-4026-0803).
Physicians:
The National Commission on Correctional Health Care is
accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education to provide continuing medical education for
physicians. NCCHC designates this educational activity for a
maximum of 32 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
Physicians should
only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity.
Psychologists:
The National Commission on Correctional Health
Care is approved by the American Psychological Association to
offer continuing education for psychologists.
NCCHC
maintains
responsibility for the program. This educational activity has
been approved for up to 32 hours of credit.
Social Workers:
NCCHC
has applied for 32
credits by the National Association of Social Workers.
