Take Charge With Tai Chi
Sunday, 7
am – 8 am
Rise early for a one-hour Tai Chi class and you’ll have
far more energy than if you slept in. Carl Bell, MD, CCHP, an eminent psychiatrist, NCCHC
board member and longtime Tai Chi instructor, will
demonstrate how the practice of this ancient discipline integrates
mind with body to restore natural health and relieve stress. The
slow, controlled movements, deep breathing and use of mental imagery
work in harmony to boost balance, flexibility, vitality and inner
strength. The class is appropriate for all levels. Wear loose,
comfortable clothes. Please sign up for this free event when you
register for the conference.

Health and
Wellness Fair
Monday and Tuesday
Have you been putting off a visit
to the doctor? If so, stop by the Health and Wellness Fair booth
hosted by NCCHC and Armor Correctional Health Services. To promote
community health awareness, Armor will have seven nurses in the
exhibit hall to check blood pressure, glucose levels, body mass
index, cholesterol and more, as well as answer health-related
questions. Look for the Armor banner in booth 437 and pay a quick
visit. Your health is worth the time, and it's free.
